American Legion Post 74 will recognize two Modesto residents for their community service at its annual award banquet on Saturday, Jan. 10.
Ann Endsley, a business owner and philanthropist, has been selected as Citizen of the Year for 2025. Brad Hawn, a former city councilmember who now works in housing advocacy, will be honored as Community Hero of the Year.
The event is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. at the Stanislaus County Veteran Services Center located at 3500 Coffee Road in Modesto. Tickets are available for $50 per person or $350 for a table of eight and can be purchased online at pay.modestopost74.org. Additional information or check payments can be arranged by calling 916-662-4352.
Proceeds from the banquet will support American Legion Post 74’s initiatives to assist military veterans through education and advocacy efforts.
Endsley operates Greens on Tenth, an event center and catering business in downtown Modesto that sources produce from Four Seasons Farm, an organic farm west of the city.
Hawn is a civil and structural engineer who served on the Modesto City Council from 2003 to 2011. He has worked on affordable housing projects and is currently a member of the Community Police Review Board.
