Butcher Power Products, a Sacramento-based manufacturer specializing in utility-grade switchboards, switchgear, and power distribution equipment, has joined the California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA). The company’s products are used in sectors such as transportation, industry, and energy.
In under two years, Butcher Power Products expanded its operations from a 6,000 square-foot facility to over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space. This growth highlights the company’s rapid development within California’s manufacturing sector.
Lance Hastings, President & CEO of CMTA, commented on the announcement: “Butcher Power Products’ impressive growth reflects the strength and impact of manufacturing in California. Their technical capabilities and commitment to high-quality production demonstrate exactly why our state’s manufacturing industry remains so vital to the economy. I am thrilled to welcome them to CMTA and look forward to working together.”
Kyle Kuperus, Community & Compliance Manager at Butcher Power Products, said: “Butcher Power Products is proud to join CMTA and stand alongside so many of California’s leading manufacturers. Participating in the 2025 Coolest Thing Made in California contest gave us a firsthand look at the strength and innovation of the state’s manufacturing network, and we’re excited to stay engaged with CMTA as we advance California’s industry.”
The addition of Butcher Power Products broadens CMTA’s representation across key segments of California’s manufacturing industry.
The CMTA has been active since 1918 as an advocate for pro-growth policies affecting manufacturers in California. Manufacturing accounts for about $300 billion annually—approximately 10 percent of the state’s total economic output—and employs around 1.3 million Californians.
Butcher Power Products focuses on providing advanced solutions that meet demanding uptime and compliance standards for both domestic and international markets.
