California is offering a variety of hotel, restaurant, and theme park deals for travelers this winter. From snow in the High Sierra to activities along the coast and in desert towns, visitors can find discounts on accommodations and attractions across the state.

In Northern California, Mendocino is holding its Seafood & Sips festival from January 30 to February 8, with related hotel deals such as up to 30 percent off at local inns. Napa Valley offers a $95 wine passport called “Little Book of Big Experiences,” which provides VIP access and savings at several wineries through March 31, 2026. In Santa Rosa, Vinarosa Resort & Spa has a luxury Grand Gesture package that includes amenities like private dinners and a personalized drone show over the vineyard.

Ski resorts are also promoting family-friendly packages. Soda Springs in North Lake Tahoe sells season passes for $699 that cover two adults and two children without blackout dates. Sacramento’s Kimpton Sawyer hotel features a package tied to NBA Kings games, while Santa Cruz’s Dream Inn gives guests 20 percent off their stay plus dining credits during king tide season.

Other offers include free tickets to local attractions or gift cards when booking stays in Redding. Yosemite National Park is providing winter rates starting at $84 for cabins in Curry Village until March 26.

Central California destinations like Mammoth Mountain have Quad Pack+ lift ticket bundles with no blackout days, valid throughout the ski season. New hotels such as Limelight Mammoth offer opening discounts through June 2026. Modesto highlights almond blossom season with cruise packages including tours and deal books for local businesses.

On the coast, Monterey Bay Inn has bundled whale-watching excursions with overnight stays near Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf.

Southern California locations are presenting their own specials. Huntington Beach’s Kimpton Shorebreak gives every fourth night free alongside other perks; similar offers are available at other area hotels through December 2026. The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla has discounts tied to golf tournaments or zoo ticket purchases.

Catalina Island promotes romance packages with transportation included during Valentine’s season, while Anaheim Portofino Inn & Suites grants an extra night free near Disneyland Resort.

Theme parks are running promotions as well. Universal Studios Hollywood annual passes come with three extra months if purchased before April 8, 2026—an offer coinciding with new ride openings next year (see https://www.universalstudioshollywood.com/web/en/us/tickets-packages/annual-pass). LEGOLAND California is discounting both room rates by up to 30 percent and kids’ admission tickets (https://www.legoland.com/california/tickets-passes/).

San Diego properties such as Ocean Park Inn give discounted rates and added amenities for beachside stays through early spring (https://oceanparkinn.com/specials/). Seniors receive free admission to San Diego Zoo Safari Park during February (https://sdzsafaripark.org/seniors-free), which also coincides with Museum Month where participants get half-price entry at more than seventy museums via passes picked up at public libraries (https://sandiegomuseumcouncil.org/museum-month/).

Palm Desert hotels including Westin Desert Willow Villas offer seasonal savings until June; Mojave Resort features relaxation-focused packages at its midcentury property close to El Paseo shopping district.

Temecula’s Ponte Vineyard Inn presents romance-themed deals that include wine tastings and gourmet picnics hosted by Grapeline Wine Tours.

Disneyland in Anaheim is selling special kids’ tickets for $50 each starting January 21 when bought alongside certain Park Hopper options (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/offers-discounts/kids-special-ticket-offer-2024/). Residents can purchase three-day Park Hopper tickets at reduced prices between January and May next year; onsite resorts are also offering discounts for bookings made before May (https://disneyland.disney.go.com/offers-discounts/hotel-room-offer-spring-2024/).

Travelers planning ahead may take advantage of these promotions on National Plan for Vacation Day on January 27.
