California cities announce plans for extensive pride celebrations throughout summer and fall

California will host a wide range of Pride Month events in 2025, continuing its longstanding tradition of LGBTQ+ activism and celebration. The state officially recognized June as LGBTQ+ Pride Month in 2018, and many cities across California plan parades, festivals, and cultural activities throughout the year.

Sacramento’s SacPride is scheduled for June 14–15 at Capitol Mall. The event includes musical performances from Drag Race stars like Shea Couleé, local talent, food vendors, and a march honoring the Stonewall Riots.

Sonoma County will mark the 40th annual Sonoma County Pride with the theme “Forty and Fierce.” Activities begin on May 30 with a flag-raising and continue through June 1 with a parade and pool party in Santa Rosa. Additional events include Out in the Vineyard Gay Wine Weekend from July 18–20.

Napa’s Pride celebration returns for its 23rd year with events throughout June. The official kickoff takes place on June 1 at Andaz Mercantile Terrace in downtown Napa.

San Francisco’s annual Pride festival is set for June 28–29 under the theme “Queer Joy is Resistance.” Civic Center Plaza will host live concerts, comedy acts, cabaret performances, and Sunday’s parade from Embarcadero to City Hall. Other Bay Area highlights include Ribbons of Remembrance at Filoli on June 14–15; Fresh Meat Festival featuring trans and queer artists from June 19–21; and Frameline49: The San Francisco International LGBTQ+ Film Festival running from June 18–28.

Pacifica celebrates on June 7 with a car parade, festival, food trucks, music performances, local art displays, family activities during the day, followed by afterparties that evening.

Central Coast Pride features community-hosted events across San Luis Obispo County through May and June. The main weekend runs May 30–June 1 in towns such as San Luis Obispo, Atascadero, Cambria, and Los Osos.

Los Angeles will hold its historic pride parade—the world’s first permitted gay pride parade—on June 8 along Hollywood Boulevard. Around 145,000 people are expected to attend. West Hollywood’s WeHo Pride runs May 30–June 1 with street fairs and OUTLOUD music festival headlined by Lizzo, Lil Nas X, Honey Dijon, Paris Hilton, and Kim Petras. The WeHo Pride Arts Festival happens May 23–25.

Santa Monica’s SaMo Pride offers month-long activities including street festivals like Pride on the Promenade (June 21), storytelling at Santa Monica Pier for families called Fabulous Fables, face painting performances for children, as well as nightlife options like the Santa Monica Pride Bar Crawl on June 21.

Catalina Island hosts Catalina Pride from June 6–7 in Avalon with entertainment at Wrigley Stage and a march to Casino Point capped by rainbow lighting of Catalina Casino.

Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite returns to Anaheim on June16 &18 between 9 p.m.–1a.m., offering dance parties themed entertainment exclusive to ticket holders.
