The California Manufacturers & Technology Association (CMTA) has announced the election of new officers to its Board of Directors. The move aims to strengthen leadership representing the state’s manufacturing sector.
Joe Ahn, Senior Manager and Director of Government Relations—Advanced Development Programs at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, will serve as Chair of the Board of Directors. He succeeds Margo Parks, who recently transitioned to Neurocrine Biosciences.
Stephenie Shah, Senior Director of National State Government Affairs for E. & J. Gallo Winery, has been named Corporate Secretary. Adrian Guerrero, Assistant Vice President of Public Affairs West for Union Pacific Railroad, was chosen as Chair of the Finance Committee.
“CMTA’s leadership continues to reflect the strength, innovation, and diversity of California manufacturing,” said Lance Hastings, CMTA President & CEO. “Joe, Stephenie, and Adrian each bring extensive experience and dedication to advancing policies that help manufacturers thrive and create opportunity across our state.”
CMTA represents a manufacturing economy in California valued at $382 billion annually and acts as the unified voice for more than 45,000 firms statewide. The organization advocates for pro-growth laws and regulations before state legislative bodies and agencies—a role it has held since 1918. Manufacturing accounts for about 10 percent of California’s total economic output and employs 1.2 million people in the state with average wages over $25,000 higher than other non-farm employers.
