Each week, new filings are added to ongoing and new proceedings at the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC), affecting utility services, communities, and consumers in the state. These filings include Proposed Decisions that are open for public comment, as well as new complaints and applications that may influence future policy and regulatory actions.

For the week of February 2-6, 2026, several new complaints and applications were filed:

Bear Valley Electric Service, Inc. submitted an application seeking authority to increase rates and charges for electric service effective January 1, 2027.

NiceMojo Technologies, LLC applied for registration as a telephone corporation under Public Utilities Code Section 1013.

The Utility Reform Network filed for an award of intervenor compensation for contributions to Resolution SPD-37.

San Diego Gas & Electric Company requested approval of Demand Flexibility Rates in compliance with D.25-08-049.

Fireline Communications LLC also applied for registration as a telephone corporation under Public Utilities Code Section 1013.

LTE Wireless, Inc. submitted an application for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity to provide various telecommunications services including limited facilities-based local exchange service and Fixed Interconnected VoIP services.

There were also several complaints filed by individuals against utility companies. Pamela Browning and Joesph Frankl filed a complaint against Pacific Gas and Electric Company alleging improper placement of facilities outside of a utility easement. Natalie Lawler and Alexander Myrvold filed a complaint against Southern California Edison Company alleging violation of Rule 17. Amy Weaver filed a complaint against Wave Energy, LLC., citing unauthorized service and overbilling.

Members of the public can participate in these proceedings by submitting written comments on Proposed Decisions through the CPUC’s Docket Card or subscribing to specific proceedings to receive updates, rulings, and notices.
