The U.S. Census Bureau has announced the start of the 2026 Census Test, which will take place in Huntsville, Alabama, and Spartanburg, South Carolina. The test aims to assess how the U.S. Postal Service can be used for tasks that are usually handled by Census Bureau field workers. It will also include some limited in-field enumeration activities.
According to the Census Bureau, “The Census Bureau remains committed to conducting the most accurate count in history for the 2030 Census and looks forward to the continued partnership with local communities.”
This effort is part of preparations for the upcoming 2030 Census and reflects an ongoing collaboration between the bureau and local partners.
