Registration is now open for members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) to attend the 55th International Convention of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, located at 265 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.

The convention serves as a national gathering for trade unionists to discuss important labor issues. At last year’s convention, IAM members participated in workshops covering organizing, conflict resolution, leadership development, building power within unions, and strategies to strengthen both their own organization and the broader labor movement.

A special group rate has been arranged for attendees at $185 per night plus taxes at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. Reservations must be made by April 24, 2026, to secure this rate. A one-night deposit by credit card is required when booking but can be refunded if canceled before April 15, 2026. After the cutoff date, room reservations will depend on availability and current hotel rates.

Hotel bookings are recommended through the official CBTU online link. Alternatively, IAM members can reserve rooms by calling 1-877-803-7534 and referencing “CBTU,” although online reservations are preferred.
