A 29-year-old woman from Sonora died Tuesday evening after her car overturned on Highway 108, west of Peaceful Oak Road, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The incident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. The CHP reported that the woman was driving a 2003 Volkswagen Bug eastbound at an unknown speed when her vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and left the south edge of the highway. The car then overturned.
