Five consecutive overnight closures will take place at the Highway 99/120 interchange in Manteca, beginning Sunday, October 19. The closures affect the ramp connecting eastbound 120 to southbound 99, which will be inaccessible from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each night through early Friday. During these hours, drivers will be directed north on Highway 99 to Yosemite Avenue, where they can turn south toward Ripon and Stanislaus County.

Another closure will occur at southbound 99 between the Moffat Boulevard onramp and offramp. This detour will be just west of the freeway, also running from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Monday night and Friday morning.

The $48.2 million project aims to improve traffic flow by adding a second lane to the ramp from eastbound 120 to southbound 99, as well as a fourth lane on southbound 99 between 120 and Austin Road. Teichert Inc. of Pleasanton began construction in August 2024, and the project is expected to continue until summer 2026.

The San Joaquin Council of Governments is sponsoring the project. Updates are available on their website at www.sjcog.org.
