The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) recently held its 2025 Joint Air Transport Safety Committee (JATSC) Conference at the William W. Winpisinger Center in Hollywood, Maryland. The event focused on several key areas, including the promotion of collaborative safety programs such as the Ground Safety Action Program. Efforts were also directed toward injury prevention, hazard mitigation, support for training and education initiatives, and the advocacy of strong worker safety reporting systems.
The conference featured daily video wrap-up reports that summarized the sessions. Presentations addressed issues such as distracted driving and workplace challenges related to carelessness and complacency.
