The Modesto Bee has launched a new poll as part of its ongoing “best in Stanislaus County” series, this time asking residents to nominate their favorite places to hang out. The poll seeks input on spots where people go when they want to spend time outside their homes. These locations can include bars, breweries, nonalcoholic drink venues, event centers, theaters, bowling alleys or any other social gathering place.
According to the announcement, nominations will open on Tuesday, December 9 and close on Thursday, December 11. Finalists will be announced on Friday and voting will continue through Sunday, December 14. The winner will be featured the following Monday.
“What’s considered a ‘hangout spot’ is subjective, and I anticipate a wide variety of answers,” the statement reads.
Community members are encouraged to participate by filling out an online form or by emailing their nomination to dwilliams@modbee.com before the deadline at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
