According to authorities, Target’s loss-prevention staff observed the two men concealing merchandise and leaving without paying. Following the arrest, investigators discovered that Cabrera was wanted in connection with a double homicide that happened in Salinas on September 19. He has since been taken into custody by the Salinas Police Department. DiazSilva was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on burglary charges. Cabrera faces multiple charges including murder, attempted murder, participating in a criminal street gang, promoting street gang activity and conspiracy to commit felony. Authorities allege he served as the getaway driver during the double homicide incident. Both suspects are residents of Salinas.

The second video released by police shows an armed robbery that took place on September 22 in the parking lot of True Value hardware store on Coffee Road. Three suspects fled the scene but were apprehended after coordination between patrol units, the real-time crime center and Air 101 from the county Sheriff’s Department. Those arrested were Elizar Flores, 19, of Fresno; Lawdell Jones, 20, of Fresno; and Dominique Diaz, 20, of Modesto.
