Modesto’s new professional baseball team, the Roadsters, has announced its schedule for the 2026 season as it prepares to join the Pioneer Baseball League. The team will play a total of 96 games, including 51 home games at John Thurman Field. The schedule features both six-game and three-game series, with most matchups taking place from Tuesday through Sunday. Mondays are set aside for rest or travel.

The Roadsters will open their inaugural season at home against the PBL Travel Team from May 19-24, 2026. Their first road trip begins after a travel day on May 25 and includes a six-game series against the Boise Hawks in Idaho from May 26-31.

JT Snow, who was previously the bench coach for the Oakland Ballers in 2024 and is a six-time Gold Glove winner, takes on his first professional managerial role with Modesto. He will face his former team, the Ballers—last year’s Pioneer Baseball League champions—in two sets of three-game series: away from June 19-21 and at home from June 23-25.

Modesto will continue its tradition of hosting Independence Day fireworks during its July 3-4 home games against the Ballers. Fans can also follow the Roadsters on trips to play against teams like Yuba-Sutter High Wheelers in Marysville at Bryant Field and several games in Oakland against the Ballers. In total, Modesto faces the Ballers 24 times throughout the season.

The final home series for Modesto comes at the end of August when they host another new California PBL team, Long Beach Baseball Club, followed by three games with Missoula Paddleheads. The season concludes with six away games in Southern California versus Long Beach.

Discussing his approach to managing, Snow said: “I think I’m going to try and manage the way that I played during my career, and that was to try and win the game that night,” he told The Bee. “Do everything you can to win the game that night. Some games are going to get away from you early. You got to make some adjustments, but we’re going to try and win every night.”
