Of the 70 nominations for Stanislaus County’s best hangout spot, Family Pizza & Cocktail Lounge received the most entries with 37. The Twisted Pig Bar and Grill followed with 11 nominations. Contentment Brewing Company received four, while both Chinn’s International and P Wexford’s Pub each had two nominations.

The selection of the top five spots included an executive decision to prioritize permanent venues over temporary ones like Modesto on Ice. A poll is now open for residents to vote for their favorite among these top five locations. Voting will close on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 5 p.m., and the winner will be announced on Monday.
