A yearlong closure of Roselle Avenue is set to begin Friday, October 3, to allow for the construction of the North County Corridor expressway near Modesto. The closure will affect the stretch of Roselle Avenue between Plainview and Claribel roads, located just north of Modesto.

Traffic will be rerouted using Sylvan, Oakdale, Patterson, and Claus roads while work is underway. Stanislaus County is overseeing Phase 1 of the North County Corridor project, which covers a 2.4-mile segment between Oakdale Road and Claus Road. The four-lane section is scheduled for completion in 2028.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution in active construction zones throughout the duration of the project. Message boards will display dates and times for night closures on Claus Road near Claribel—typically from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m.—as well as other impacts such as full closure of Terminal Avenue from Minnear to Plainview and lane restrictions on Claus, Claribel, and Oakdale roads.

For updates on construction alerts, detours, and progress on the project, people can visit the official website at northcountycorridorphase1.com or call the hotline at 209-217-9616 with any questions or concerns.
