A Modesto-based grocery store chain, The Save Mart Companies, has partnered with Amazon to introduce return kiosks in 155 stores across California and western Nevada. This initiative includes 11 locations in Stanislaus County. According to a company statement, the rollout will be completed at all remaining Save Mart, Lucky, and FoodMaxx stores by February.

Tamara Pattison, chief digital officer of The Save Mart Companies, stated: “The reality is, returning an item has become a routine part of the online shopping experience, especially after the busy holiday season. With this rollout completing just in time for the post-holiday return rush, our stores throughout California and Western Nevada are positioned to make returns as easy and convenient as possible for the millions of online shoppers we both serve.”

Customers can choose Save Mart, Lucky, or FoodMaxx as their drop-off location when initiating a return through Amazon.com or its app. The kiosks provide shipping bags and labels. To complete a return, customers scan a QR code at the kiosk, bag their items, and deposit them.

Additionally, The Save Mart Companies is offering a $5 discount on same-day purchases of $25 or more for those who use the Amazon return kiosks. Customers can access this offer by showing an Amazon return confirmation to a store associate or scanning a QR code displayed on the kiosk screen.

Nearly all Save Mart Companies stores in Stanislaus County now feature these Amazon return kiosks. Locations include Modesto, Turlock, Ceres, Riverbank, Oakdale, and Patterson.
