Snapchat has reported significant growth in its creator ecosystem in India, citing increased content engagement and a growing number of new creators. The company highlighted the expansion of its Snap Stars community, which consists of leading creators on the platform.

The announcement was made during Snapchat Creator Connect, an event held in Delhi as part of a multi-city initiative aimed at supporting Gen Z storytellers. Delhi was chosen for its importance to the creator landscape in North India and to reflect Snapchat’s expanding presence across the country.

As part of Creator Connect, Snapchat organized educational sessions under its Snap School program. These sessions provided mentorship to help creators improve their storytelling skills and take advantage of monetization opportunities through global revenue sharing and rewards programs. The event also showcased augmented reality (AR) innovations that allow creators to engage more deeply with their audiences.

Bollywood and Punjabi cinema actors Ammy Virk and Sonam Bajwa participated in a fireside chat at the event, discussing their lives beyond work, upcoming projects, and their preference for using Snapchat to connect with fans.

Attendees were given a demonstration of Snapchat’s fifth-generation Spectacles AR glasses. Features such as real-time Lenses and Spectator Mode received positive feedback from those present due to their integration with mobile devices.

Snapchat differentiates itself from other platforms by focusing on vertical-first stories and AR-powered content. This approach is designed to appeal especially to younger users in India who favor short-form videos with a distinct visual style.

The company has established partnerships with major Indian brands including Myntra, Flipkart, L’Oreal, Unilever, and Reckitt. These collaborations involve influencer marketing campaigns that target Gen Z consumers through Snap Stars and top AR creators. Brands are supported by consulting services from Snapchat’s sales teams as well as tools like Creator & Content Discovery within Snap Ads Manager.

To further support brand partnerships, Snapchat has developed a network of creator agencies operating nationwide in cities such as Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata. The platform also engages creators through events like Myntra FWD Creator Fest and Flipkart Glam Up via initiatives such as #SnapStarSquad.

Indian athletes are increasingly using Snapchat for storytelling. Cricketers Abhishek Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Rishabh Pant, along with Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra have used the platform’s features to share personal moments with fans and promote sports culture among young people.
