December marks a period when many people look back on the past year and celebrate memorable moments with friends. In line with this tradition, Snapchat has released its annual Snapchat Recap for 2025. This feature presents users with a personalized video that highlights key moments from their Snaps, Stories, and Chats throughout the year.

The company describes the Snapchat Recap as “a short video, individualized for every Snapchatter, with highlights from their Snaps, Stories, and Chats, offering a one-of-a-kind look at how they connected, communicated, and expressed themselves throughout the year.”

Snapchat notes that in 2025 friendship, creativity, and connection were central themes for users. The platform observed increased interaction among friends through various features including quick chats and longer calls.

“Across the board, 2025 was defined by friendship, creativity, and connection. From quick chats to long calls and everything in between, friends showed up for each other in more ways than ever,” according to the company’s statement.
