Stanislaus State’s online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program has been ranked No. 136 nationally by U.S. News & World Report in its 2026 Best Online Programs list. The ranking places the university among more than 300 evaluated programs and reflects an overall score of 72.

The annual rankings from U.S. News & World Report assess online degree programs using criteria such as faculty credentials, student engagement, and support services for distance learners. These rankings aim to guide prospective students toward flexible programs that maintain strong academic standards.

Interim Dean for the College of Business Administration Sacha Joseph-Mathews commented on the recognition: “Stanislaus State’s Online MBA is designed to meet students where they are, while maintaining the academic rigor and real-world relevance they expect from a graduate business program.”

Joseph-Mathews added, “As one of California’s most affordable online MBA programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, placing it among the top 6 percent of business schools worldwide, the program supports social mobility and welcomes students from non-business backgrounds, equipping them with the technical skills they need to take their careers to the next level.”

She continued: “As one of California’s most affordable online MBA programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), placing it among the top 6 percent of business schools worldwide, the program supports social mobility and welcomes students from non-business backgrounds, equipping them with the technical skills they need to take their careers to the next level. This recognition reflects the strength of our faculty, curriculum and commitment to serving working professionals.”

The acknowledgment comes as Stanislaus State continues efforts to provide accessible graduate education tailored for working professionals through flexible online formats.

This latest ranking follows other recent recognitions for Stanislaus State. In fall 2025, U.S. News & World Report included Stan State among top universities in the West with four top-10 regional rankings. The Wall Street Journal/College Pulse also ranked Stan State fourth nationally for social mobility in its Best Colleges in the U.S. list.

Additionally, The Princeton Review recognized Stanislaus State as one of America’s Best Value Colleges and featured it in its “Best 391 Colleges for 2026” guide for a twentieth consecutive year.
